Karina Drees has a BS from Arizona State University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. She completed International Space University’s Summer Session Program in Beijing, China. She serves as a Director with the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, a board member with the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition, a judge for the MIT Global Challenge and a previous SBIR proposal reviewer and panelist for the National Science Foundation.
John Himes is responsible for overseeing the daily air and space port operations to include Air Traffic Management, Security, and Fire-Rescue services. John earned his BS from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and MPA from American Military University and brings over 28 years of integrated military-commercial aviation, operations, and FAA liaison experience to MASP.
Harold Smith has been with the organization since 1979 starting as a maintenance man working up to management. In addition to his successful career at Mojave Air & Space Port, Harold is heavily involved with the Mojave community. He has been a Board member of both the Mojave Public Utility District and the East Kern Cemetery since 2012.
Carrie Rawlings has been with MASP since 2010. Prior to Mojave Air & Space Port, Carrie worked as a Client Services Manager for SAGE Staffing where she was responsible for human resources, payroll and client relations. She started her career at San Pedro Hospital as a Human Resources Representative. Carrie has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Phoenix and is currently pursuing her master's degree in accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.
Jason Buck has an extensive background in information technology as an integration specialist with more than 10 years of experience in telecommunications and SCADA industries. Prior to MASP, Jason was the Chief Operating Officer of Code3 IT. He also held IT leadership roles within the renewable energy sector in California. Jason has been an active Microsoft Partner and a Certified Wireless & VoIP Administrator
